Where can it be used? The Weather-TEX fabric is made especially for outdoor use. It is easy to clean and provides a high level of comfort, it doesn't get wet but rather conveys humidity without absorbing it.

How does it feel? Very soft and smooth to the touch.

Is it washable? Yes. Weather-TEX fabric is fully washable and won't shrink. How should I store my cushions and parasol? Cushions and parasols should be completely dry before storing them away. We suggest you retain the zipped bags supplied with your cushion. The Glencrest cushion storage bag holds up to six recliner cushions in a neat and convenient carry bag. Your retailer should have details about Glencrest storage bags.

Filling
The ultimate filling for comfort and safety:

Resists compression
Breathable, low moisture uptake
Non allergenic, clean and odourless
Complies with furniture and Furnishings (Fire)(Safety) regulations 1988

The ULTRASPRING® range of products are a unique blend of polyester fibres that contain conjugate hollow fibres designed specifically to provide the ultimate in filling materials for both comfort and safety.

Conjugate fibres are defined as the 'co-extrusion' of two different polymers to produce a bicomponent fibre that is able to combine the properties of both materials to provide particular performance characteristics. The variation in the cooling pattern of the extruded polymers provides a 'spring like' or three dimensional appearance to the fibres when seen at close hand.

This 'spring like' appearance of the hollow conjugate fibre is designed to resist compression much like the springs seen in everyday life. The hollow cross section of the fibre provides the addition of a high comfort factor that compliments this resistance.

All the ULTRASPRING® range of products are clean, odourless, breathable and non allergenic and additionally demonstrate low moisture uptake levels. All conform to the Furniture and Furnishing (Fire) (Safety) Regulations 1988.

British Standard BS5852 1988 (Fire) (Safety) Regulations
All of our covers and fillings conform to BS5852. Every cushion is batch numbered and a record maintained by the manufacturer or importer of the production date.

All of the fabrics and fillings used have a fire certificate after testing and every batch of fabric is individually tested and a 'Pass Certificate' received and filed for future reference and inspection by Trading Standards if required.

Our cushion fillings are tested on a regular basis by the UK Manufacturers and all test results are kept.

As any cushions may be stored or used inside or outside the house they all come under the same fire & safety standard criteria, therefore our Garden Furniture cushions come under this law even though they are intended for outdoor use.

BS5852 became law in 1988 following the realisation that deadly fumes from burning or smouldering polyurethane foam fillings can cause death.

DuPont Teflon Coating
Some Glencrest Seatex fabrics have been treated with DuPont Teflon Coating to enhance their ability to protect against dirt, rot, mould and fading.

Acrylic Cushions
What's it made of? Glencrest Seatex Acrylic cushions and parasols are made from 100% Acrylic fabric, using Solution Dyed Yarn. The fabric has been Waterproofed using a chemical applied to the fabric.

Where can it be used? Our Acrylic fabric is ideal for outdoor use. It is easy to clean and provides a high level of comfort. The fabric stops water from passing through whilst being able to breath.

Will it fade? All fabrics will fade to a greater or lesser degree but Solution Dyed Acrylic has a colour fastness to a very high grade 7. This reduces fading to a minimum but we do not recommend leaving your cushions out permanently.

How does it feel? The fabric is soft to feel and will retain its good looks for many years. Is it washable? Yes, you can machine wash the cushion case at 40°C but we recommend hand washing or preferably, Golden Care Fabric Cleaner.

Is it water-proof? The water-proof finish is intended to protect against a rain shower and this will not affect the cushion but constant soaking may result in water passing through the zip and sewn edges. The fabric is rot proof but we do recommend your cushion and parasol should be stored away when they are dry. Water from swimming pools may leave a chlorine mark and we suggest the use of a towel to cover the cushion.
