Wellingborough is a market town and borough in Northamptonshire which includes the town itself along with Irchester, Little Irchester, Wollaston, Earls Barton, Bozeat, Finedon, Isham, Wilby and Great Doddington. As of 2011, the census states the borough has a population of 75,400, which the town itself accounts for 49,087.

Places of interest in Wellingborough include: Harrowden Hall, Irchester Country Park, The Castle Theatre and Wellingborough Museum.

Harrowden Hall is home to Wellingborough Golf Club. An investment of £500,000 in 1999 saw all 18 greens at Wellingborough renewed plus work on bunkers, drainage and an irrigation system.

Irchester Country Park is a former ironstone quarry that has a wonderful children's play area as well as a network of long and short trails through 83 hectares of mixed woodland. The park is home to the Quarryman's Rest Cafe, Jungle Parc UK and the Irchester Narrow Gauge Railway Museum.

The Castle is a theatre, cinema and arts centre serving the local community in Wellingborough and Northamptonshire. As well as shows in the auditoria, The Castle has classes, fun activities for children and a cafe for the chance to pop in and unwind or meet friends. The Castle's programme of events encompasses all art forms and both professional and amateur work.

The Museum holds many events and houses lots of artefacts. The reviews are all complimentary. It's a great place for the young and old. The café has seating inside and out and apparently serves a 'mean pot of tea'.
