How To Slay Your Garden Layout

As you may or may not know, St. Georges Day celebrates England’s patron-saint and used to be traditionally commemorated with a feast. Now, it’s more so a celebration. This celebration is usually associated with parties at home, and in our opinion, the best venue for this is your garden.

No garden party is complete without patio furniture, so don’t sweat it if your garden isn’t party-ready, as we have some Nova Outdoor Living options to help with that.

For a feast, the Classic outdoor dining collection is best for setting the scene. With table features including gas firepits, ice buckets, parasol holes and a table extension, there’s something for you and your guests.

If the sun is out as you celebrate, and you need to keep your drinks ice-cold, then the Amelia and the Olivia ranges are the ones to look out for as they have the option of an ice bucket. With the choice of a round or oval table shape, and with options including six or eight seats available, it’s wonderful for dining with a larger group.

These rattan sets don’t just offer practicality, they’re super comfy! The Olivia range has thick supportive backs and curved armrests, so once the party is over, you can chill-out with ease. The Amelia dining range has the same level of comfort, but in a different style with the chairs having a higher back, helping to keep you upright as you eat.

We understand formal dining isn’t for everyone, so if you want something a bit more laid-back, then the Heritage collection has some options for casual dining. The popular and premium Cambridge and Ciara ranges come with a left-hand and right-hand configuration and the option of a dining table extension. These sets usually include a sofa piece, several footstools, and chairs, alongside the casual dining table.

This gives you the possibility of different layouts and gives you the freedom to celebrate how you want to. An extending dining table is a good example of this, as the table extends by pulling it out from beneath the original and both tables are topped with 5mm tempered safety glass which offers protection and an easy to clean surface.

Bringing The Heat

While the weather is usually warmer this time of year, the temperature can drop. Whether it’s to keep you warm or to add atmosphere to your festivities, our CE-certified fire-breathing firepits bring the heat of a dragon’s breath but with safety and style.

The firepits come in rattan, aluminium and GRC, with a wind guard to prevent the flames from blowing onto you and your guests and the rattan options have extra protection with tempered glass. These firepits won’t get in the way of your dining experience, either, as they have a stainless-steel lid to cover them when not in use.

While you’re partying or dining, we have parasols that’ll give you ample cover not only from those troublesome dragons but from sun rays too. If you’re on a budget, then the Antigua range features our easily operated crank and tilt aluminium parasols which can be used in conjunction with a dining table or as a standalone parasol providing you use a weighted base.

This range is treated with a PA coating, ensuring resistance to sun bleaching, and fading. Plus, the canopy is removable, so you can give it a wash whenever you like. It’s 200g canopy gives enough shade for you and your friends/family and will keep you protected from harmful UV rays.

The square ribs on this range are much stronger than others, measuring at 12 x 18mm they’re more durable than standard parasol ribs.

These are made from aluminium and can be free-standing or wall mounted and have the option of privacy screens. Standing at an average height of 3m, our pergolas are built for adverse weather, but can they withstand a dragon’s weight? That we can’t guarantee.
